STEVEN MURPHY - 100 GAMES
Michael Hodge (left) played his 100th game at Wakehurst on Sunday 19th March 2023.
Michael never played golf as a child and only learnt to play golf as an adult, which is evident in his unconventional swing and persistent high handicap. (Those were his words)
When joining Nomad's, which was on the suggestion of a friend who had heard them in passing, he asked if being South African was compulsory.
Here is some interesting info on Michael:
- Highest score – 39 points at Long Reef in Mar 2014
- Lowest score - 21 points at Riverside Oaks in Apr 2014
- Starting handicap at Nomads was 23
- Average handicap 21.88
- Lowest handicap 18 (Apr 2014)
- Highest handicap 24 (Nov 2018)
Well done, Michael, your swing may be unconventional, but your commitment to Nomads Sydney North is regular, sweet and smooth!
