Club Captain, William Lombard (right) hands over a "40 Club" cap to Tony Ruello who scored a 40 points off a handicap of 17 at Riverside Oaks on 12 December 2021.

This is Tony's 2nd 40 pointer, but his 1st 40 Club achievement as a member. He scored 43 points at The Springs as a Guest in his first game with Nomads.

DAVE TWYCROSS - 150 GAMES

Congratulations to David Twycross who is the 2nd Nomads Sydney North member to play150 games.

Fittingly he was presented his 150-game badge by Past Captain and Past National President Johan Landsberg who was the 1st member to reach this milestone.

Well done David, and now that you have that new bionic knee we hope to see you double that score.

FURTHERANCE OF GOLF 2021

Captain William Lombard, Jack Newton Junior Golf Scholarship recipients, Brodie Herring and Riley Millers and JNJG CEO Peter van Wegen

Each year, in conjunction with the CEO of Jack Newton, Peter van Wegen, deserving juniors are identified and are put forward by JNJG to the Nomads Sydney North Committee for consideration.

On Sunday 16 May 2021, at The Springs Golf Club, Sydney North Captain, William Lombard, was pleased to announce that the Jack Newton Junior Golf Scholarship recipients for 2021 were Brodie Herring and Riley Millers.

A cheque of $4,000 was handed over to JNJG to administer, on behalf of Brodie and Riley, and this will be used to assist them in meeting some of the costs in getting to tournaments around NSW. It was pleasing to see their parents at the presentation.

Riley is a member of Avondale and his current handicap is 0.4. His 1st JNJG tournament was in 2016.

Brodie is a member of Manly, his handicap is currently 0.3 and his 1st JNJG tournament was in 2019.

Brodie and Riley, we look forward to your development with JNJG and hope you have a lot of fun while growing in the game of golf.

SYDNEY ANNUAL CHALLENGE - MAY 2021

Captain of Sydney North, Anthony Cichonski (right) accepts the Sydney Inter Club Challenge Shield from former Nomads Australia National President, Johan Landsberg. Sydney South overpowered Sydney North 5.5 to 3.5 and have now narrowed the gap to just 1 - Norths overall lead is now 5-4.

2021 GAME SCHEDULE

This year we play three times at Riverside Oaks, twice at the following 4 courses: Mona Vale, Bayview, Long Reef and Wakehurst and once at Asquith.

In May Norths will be hosting the 10th North v South Club Challenge at Riverside Oaks.

The 12th Nomads National Tournament will be hosted by Brisbane and this will be at Hope Island from 29-31 October 2021.
