FURTHERANCE OF GOLF 2023
Captain Curt Wilson announced, at Riverside Oaks on Sunday 25th June 2023, that the Nomads Sydney North Scholarship Recipients for 2023 were Riley Millers and Brodie Herring. Unfortunately, Brodie didn't play at Riverside Oaks as he was overseas in Buffalo New York playing in a junior golf competition.
The 2nd "pillar" of our Nomads existence is the Furtherance of Golf: the development of golf in Australia is one of our aims and objectives and we have chosen to partner with Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) in developing young golfing talent.
Dale Hughes (JNJG CEO) put forward names of young golfers for the 2 scholarship we award. Riley Millers and Brodie Herring, 2021 and 2022 Scholarship Recipients were proposed again for 2023 and our Club will be sending $4,000 to JNJG to assist them in meeting some of the costs they'll incur this year in developing their golfing talents.
Sydney South have again chosen Lara Thomsen as their 2023 Scholarship Recipient.
