Welcome to the Nomads Australia National Tournament 2014

Cypress Lakes, Hunter Valley, NSW

Date: Friday 24th October 2014 - Sunday 26th October 2014

This year's event will be held in the beautiful Hunter Valley region. We are very fortunate in that, at the same time as our tournament is on, the Hunter Valley Wine & Jazz Festival is also on. Keeping with tradition we would like to strongly encourage partners to not only come to the event, but also attend the Friday night cocktail party, Saturday prizegiving dinner and Sunday prizegiving lunch. The additional costs for these are outlined below. We regret that no childern under 18 are permitted at any of these functions.

Practice Round (from 11:30 am on Friday 24th October) - $85

(Note: Only 80 spots are available, so it will be first-come-first-served)

Participation Rules

• Must be a Nomad in good standing.
• Must have a minimum of fours (4) credits for games played during the past 12 months.
• Nomads playing attire to be worn for both days.
  • Day 1 - Tournament shirt and cap with club pants.
  • Day 2 - Your club playing attires
• Evening dress is business shirt with Nomads tie and long black / navy pants
  • Nomads jacket optional.

Tournament Format, Trophies & Prizes

• Individual medal stableford.
• Tri-Nations trophy contested between RSA, NZ & AU.
• Australia club trophy contested between Perth, Brisbane, Sydney Nth & Sydney Sth.
• Origin trophy contested between QLD & NSW.

Daily Prize

• Winner and Runners up in A, B, C divisions.
• Winner and Runners up best playing fourball.
• Worst playing fourball.
• Closet to the pins on all par 3's
• Longest Drive in each division.
• Most golf

Overall

• Winners and Runners up in A, B, C divisions.
• Most golf.
• Champion of Champions (highest combined score in all divisions).

Handicapping

• Which ever is the lower of the two:
  • AGU handicap minus 2.
  OR
  • Nomads Handicap (average over last 6 games)

Example: Steve van Niekerk's AGU is 15 and Nomads handicap (avg over last 6 games) is 12. AGU minus 2 is 13. So the lowest handicap is Steve's Nomads handicap.
