- First Game: John played his inaugural game with the club under the guidance of his proposer, Oscar Finn
- John was inducted into our Club in 2004
- This marked the beginning of his enduring relationship with our golfing family
- Club Contributions:
- Committee member : North Sydney or the Sydney club as it was at the time
- Nationals Coordinator: In 2010, he played a pivotal role as the Nationals Coordinator for the 2nd Vintage Nationals, showcasing his organizational skills and dedication
- Founding the 4th Club: John was the driving force behind the creation of the 4th Club, a project that took almost two years to realize. His leadership helped the club grow to over 80 members at its peak
- Club Captaincy: As Club Captain at Perth Nomads, John demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and excellence
- Tournament Participation:
- John has been a regular attendee at all Australian National tournaments, further extending his passion to numerous events in South Africa.
- He participated in the Highland Gate event, a prestigious competition between Norths and Gauteng
- Looking ahead, John is set to play in the inaugural UK Nomads National tournament in July 2024, adding another chapter to his rich golfing journey
- Philosophical Outlook: A strong believer in the interconnectedness of people, John draws inspiration from the famous words of John Donne’s "No Man Is an Island":

- Lowest Score: 23 points at Kooindah Waters in Jun 11 and has never got a Crying Towel
- Starting Handicap: John began his journey with a starting handicap of 18
- Average Handicap: 18.06
- Handicap Range: His lowest recorded handicap was 13 in Oct 23, and his highest was 22 in Mar 08
