BARRY SCHUTTE REACHES 100 GAMES
Barry Schutte (left) received his 100th Game badge from Sydney North Captain, Michael Hodge, at Mona Vale GC on 21st January 2018.
Before moving to Australia in 2004, he was a member at Goldfields West GC near Carletonville with a handicap of 12. Yeah, the older he gets, the better he used to be! He started with Nomads in 2007.
In 2011 he joined the Sydney North Committee and has had the following portfolios: Venue Coordinator, Equipment Officer and Membership Officer.
Barry has been an active Nomads recruiter with 8 of our current membership introduced by him (10%). He will play in his 2nd South African National tournaments in Cape Town in March 2018, defending the best of the over 55’s title, The Ferneyhough Trophy. He has only missed 1 of 9 Australian National tournaments, the 2012 Tournament at Magenta Shores.

o Average score is 29.39
o Highest score – 44 points at Bayview (Sep 08). He has joined the "40 Club" 4 times, the next best is only 2.
o Lowest score - 22 points at Kooindah Waters in Jul 14
o Average handicap is 14.43
o Lowest handicap 10 (Jun 11)
o Highest handicap 20 (Sep 15)
